Introduction
There is so much to pregnancy. Each woman wants a wonderful, exciting experience planning for a new life. However, there are many ups and downs through this time.
You worry and hope there will be a point when you will be past the worry stage and everything will be safe. There won’t be. You read every book and website you can get to trying to understand the complexity of what seems so simple. You’ll never understand enough. There will be pregnancies that don’t make it very far and you feel a little disappointed and sad. You’ll get past it. There will be several other friends and strangers getting pregnant everywhere you look. You’ll secretly swear at them as you walk away- but be happy for them. There will be every gynocologist, obstitrician, endocrinologist, midwife, and nurse practitioners questioning and poking in every orifice in your once descrete and modest body. You learn to trust them.
Yet then there are wonderful friends and family who are there to be happy when you find out and care for you when you lose it. There’s the dreaming and decorating the perfect room with all the right touches. There’s Hope, and Mericles, and Prayer that you never thought meant so much in your life. And of course, there are husbands, who are loving and kind, who you can look at and know there will be our time. One way or another, there will be children in our lives, and what a remarkably life changing journey it is to get there.
