Through nap, through night, and through another nap, Cory has stayed all dry without wetting his nighttime diaper. He’s still not going poo on the potty, but he’s still going days again without going. He was going pretty regularly during naps. I guess he’s figuring out what it feels like and what he needs to do.
Jay and I both have noticed that Cory’s speech is slipping. He certainly has a vocabulary, but either he’s been watching way too much British cartoonage, or he’s dropping sounds. Rs are dropped and Ls are Ws. I know those can be developmental, but it’s more than that. It seems he struggles to get sentences together. I suppose all we can do is keep modeling good speech for now.
I’ve checked my bp, and it’s normal, but I keep feeling a bit dizzy and weak especially from getting up from laying down or sitting. I’m certainly eating more. I’ve gained all the weight I lost back. I’m not totally sure I’m supposed to gain 2-3 lbs in a month.
My summer vacation is halfway over. I used to be very anxious to get back to my classroom, but this year I’m mostly happy just to stay home and taking Cory places and keeping house-mostly! It’ll be a bit sad to start back towards the end of August.
