My little scientist
Today, Cory and I made our weekly trip to the library to exchange or books for our summer routine. He has started picking his own books- even though it’s more of a grab and dump in the bag. Then we went outside to the Red Lion park to play on the playground. He spent some time on the equipment but became more intrigued by the squirrels curiously eating- and weren’t shy. Cory started to wander around the park finding different kinds of seeds, as I explained the squirrels were eating. He found helicopter seeds, pine cone seeds, and spikey ball seeds. He started to take them all apart to see how the seeds were different.
Yesterday was pretty long because we headed for Vacation Bible School -VBS at church. I thought I was going to get to drop him off and do some errands from 6:30-8 but he was not about to leave my lap the first half. By the time he got involved with his group, I didn’t have time to go anywhere and be back to get him. Jay’s going to take him the next two nights. Maybe because he’s been there a night already he’ll do better and Jay can get some wireless things run at church without having to sit with him. I’m not sure he would act the same way with me and he would dad.
