Now We Wait

Yeah, it’s another one of those nights.  Jay got up to do something for work since he’s on call, and I haven’t been able to get back to sleep. I decided to come upstairs for a bath to try and relax, but instead I started cleaning out the nursery closet. I really wanted to get it organized for some reason. I didn’t really get it done in the hour and half I’ve been up here, but I started pulling things out. It almost makes me just want to stay home for the day so I can get it out of my system, besides, at this rate, I’ll be exhausted for work tomorrow. The edema, swelling, doesn’t help the restlessness, and even Jay stuffing pillows all around me didn’t help me get through the night.

On a plus note, my work baby shower was yesterday, and it was very nice. It was like an English  tea party with cookies, sandwiches, scones, fruit and all kids of tea with fancy tea cups. Instead of games everyone made a scrap book page. It was very clever and fun. I got some neat toys and clothes, but most of all, I got enough gift cards to cover the crib plus. So now it’s just time to return items, take the gift cards, and get one big gift card to get the crib. They better let me at Target, or I’ll throw a pregnant hissy fit.

I already ordred “things I knew I wanted but didn’t get” for organizing and some car things  and some other odds and ends. I figured it was ok for me to actually buy things now. Above all, I’m just done. I know I have four more weeks to go, but I’m just ready to be here and get the house ready and get out of work. I’m betting the 25 will be my last day regardless if I got into labor or not.

I keep forgetting to remind Jay to get my 8 mo prego picture. Yeah, 36 weeks now. He’s probably a good 6 lbs and 19 inches long. I have my exam tomorrow. This one will be different since I get poked and prodded at.  Gym teacher at work had her baby, unfortunately she (the baby- it’s a girl!) got strep B and is in NICU. I hope everything will be ok.

We also met our new neighbors. They are very nice and have four children, 13 boy, 11 boy, 5 girl, 2 girl. They don’t seem to mind Penny’s barking- since they put a big trampoline by the fence. If anyone knows Penny, you can just imagine her entertainment of kids flying in the air.  They also home school. I think that’s kind of neat. Can’t blame them- but they’ve been busy setting up their home and painting.  I hope they like it here.
