Maternity wear to Nursing wear

The frustration of trying to figure out what is going to fit or not fit after delivery is really getting to me. I don’t know if I’ll fit back into my normal clothes or if I’ll be stuck in sweat clothes until I loose enough weight. Regardless of even that issue, I have been trying to find a couple of nursing tops- like ones with a criss cross front- to bring to the hospital to wear and in general. I can’t seem to find a store that sells nursing/breastfeeding tops aside from just tank tops. Anyone know of a good place or online store that doesn’t sell them for $30-50 a top?

Just in general annoyance all around, I’m trying my darnest to  keep up with work, school, and home. I’m just getting so sore. I wake up sore and come home sore. I think I might cave in and take some tylenol. Yet I do like that it makes me pay attention to my body, but seriously, I’m just going to ache all the time now right?

In my efforts to keep up the house, I’m specifically annoyed by the spring critters that are arriving in the house.  Those thousand legger-centipedes that show up in the cool dark of the night, ants, weevils from bird seed, and the spiders that like the new snacks are really starting to become a serious nuisance.  We even had a mouse stuck in the wall somewhere that couldn’t get out. But what can I put out that will keep them away? Well, with pets, it’s hard not to keep food put away to keep ants away.  The centipedes will just be here as long as it’s moist and cool in the basement, and the weevils we try to keep down by putting Whinney’s seed in a plastic container, but that doesn’t’ help the ones that are in her dish. I remember growing up in Laurel, MD, that there were huge black crickets in the house all the time.  Hard to lay poison out with curious kitties.

I just don’t want to wake up and have my baby covered in ants and centipedes.

  • You’ll be very unusual if you fit into regular clothes after delivery. Most people still look 5 months pregnant when they leave the hospital.

  • You are prob going to want sweat type clothes after delivery. Your tummy is not exactly going to look pregnant. Its kinda squishy but still large enough not to wear prepregnancy clothes. Plus you are prob going to be fairly sore in the crotch. You won’t really want to be trying to wear jeans with a sore crotch. As far a nursing shirts have to checked Motherhood? They don’t have a huge selection but I got a few there a couple weeks ago that are the crossover style top. Also try ebay. You can sometimes find the expensive brands in good used condition. Motherwear has a factory outlet store on ebay. Go to the Motherwear site. Under clearance they have a link to the factory clearance store.
